Lucienne Alahandro Maurizio Roosberg (born February 22, 1990), better known by his stage name "Kollah Bone", is a Sint Maarten-born hip-hop artist, music producer, songwriter, and audio engineer. He is recognized for his contributions to the Caribbean and European hip-hop scenes, blending trap, dancehall, and rap influences.
Early Life and Background
[edit]Kollah Bone was born and raised in Philipsburg, Sint Maarten, where he was brought up by his great-aunts. His early years were shaped by regular attendance at a Seventh-day Adventist Church, where he was first exposed to gospel music and community-based values. By the age of five, he was already captivated by hip-hop culture, thanks in part to his older sister's love for the genre.
Kollah Bone's music is characterized by a fusion of Caribbean rhythms, American trap, and melodic rap. Drawing inspiration from his upbringing and the broader West Indian diaspora, his sound often blends raw storytelling with island slang, rhythmic flows, and bass-heavy beats. Artists such as 2Pac, DMX, and Lil Wayne have influenced his lyrical content and vocal delivery. His music frequently addresses themes of loyalty, struggle, ambition, betrayal, and perseverance.
Career
[edit]Music Production and Collaborations
[edit]In his early teens, a cousin introduced him to Fruity Loops "FL" Studio, which ignited his journey into music production. Kollah Bone taught himself how to make beats and began producing for local artists across the Dutch Caribbean, eventually forming the production group DBK (Da Beat Kings) with George "G-Wattz" Martin and Rodrique "G-Bone" Richardson. His production skills led to collaborations with notable artists such as Daz Dillinger, Young Jeezy, Cyhi The Prynce, Yung LA, Magazeen,[1] Money Mark Diggla,[2] Alfamega, and others.
In 2006, Kollah Bone was offered a deal by Shakir Stewart of Def Jam Records, which ultimately fell through following Stewart's untimely death. In 2014, Cash Money Records approached him with a development deal worth $10,000, but he declined due to unfavorable contractual terms. Following this, he moved to North Miami Beach, where he immersed himself in the southern hip-hop scene, working around names like Future, Ace Hood, Trina, Mavado, and Cool & Dre. His work ethic and sound gained him access to exclusive artist circles and sessions, including gatherings at Trick Daddy's residence.
In 2024, Kollah Bone founded 'OmniTune Records[3]', an independent Caribbean-Trap label headquartered in Rotterdam, Netherlands. The label's mission is to empower and develop Caribbean-rooted talent in the European market and beyond. OmniTune Records focuses on cross-genre production, music video creation, and storytelling that reflects Caribbean identity and urban culture.
As a founder and CEO, Kollah Bone plays a hands-on role in audio engineering, artist development, songwriting, and music video direction. The label has already attracted underground and rising talents from the Caribbean and diaspora communities in Europe. Kollah Bone is a very humble person always working and helping out people around him dropping gems that will help them avoid certain mistakes he made in the beginning of his career.
