Kholi Ka Ganesh is an upcoming Hindi film directed by Avinash Dhyani, starring Suruchi Saklani and Shubham Semwal. The film is produced by Padmasiddhi Films and Pandit Films and is scheduled for release on **18 April 2025**.
Plot
[edit]The story highlights the deep-seated inequalities within society, focusing on a couple, Mahesh and Sarita, who grapple with rigid social norms due to their differing castes. Despite their love, the villagers refuse to accept their relationship because Sarita hails from a lower caste. Complicating matters, Sarita’s father and Mahesh’s father were once close friends who bonded over alcohol, a habit that spiraled into addiction for Mahesh’s father. Unable to break free from it, he took his own life, leaving Mahesh’s mother to hold Sarita’s father responsible for her husband’s downfall. She vehemently opposes the union of Mahesh and Sarita, a sentiment echoed by the entire village. The community turns hostile, determined to punish Mahesh for defying tradition. One day, Sarita’s father, consumed by anger, joins the villagers in a brutal attack, beating Mahesh to death. Overwhelmed by despair, Sarita resolves to end her life, and in a tragic twist, Mahesh, though already dead in the narrative, is imagined as joining her in spirit as she succumbs to hopelessness.
