Kashmir Super League (KSL), also known as Khyber Cement Kashmir Super League, is a professional football league held in Srinagar, Jammu & Kashmir, India. It was launched in 2025 to promote and provide a professional platform for players in the region.[1][2]
History
[edit]The league was officially launched on 8 July 2025 by Sports Minister Satish Sharma along with other dignitaries. The trophy and team jerseys were unveiled at the ceremony.[3][4]
Format
[edit]The league features six teams competing in a round-robin format followed by playoffs. All matches are held at the TRC Synthetic Turf Ground in Srinagar.[5]

Notable Matches
[edit]Opening Match (11 July 2025)
[edit]Greenend Heroes FC defeated Athwas India XI 2–1. Hyder Yousuf scored both goals for Greenend and was awarded Man of the Match and Game Changer. Umaid Hussain of Athwas earned the Golden Save award.[8]
Match 3 (12 July 2025)
[edit]New JK United FC and Arco United FC played a goalless draw. New JK United's goalkeeper Nirdosh was named Man of the Match and won the Golden Save award, while Uneeb from Arco United received the Game Changer award.[9]

[edit]The league is primarily sponsored by Khyber Cement and powered by Athwas Hyundai. It is managed by Fucan Sports Pvt Ltd.[10]
Reception
[edit]The launch event and the league’s objective of engaging youth through sports were widely appreciated. Coverage by The Tribune and Rising Kashmir praised its efforts to provide a constructive outlet for young players.[11]
