Karnataka Grameena Bank (also spelled as Karnataka Gramin Bank) (KGB) is a Regional Rural Bank established on 1 May 2025 through the merger of Karnataka Vikas Grameena Bank and Kaveri Grameena Bank.

[edit]The bank traces its history to 12 September 2005 with the formation of Karnataka Vikas Grameena Bank.[3]
2024 Merger
[edit]The merger was formalized through Gazette Notification No. F.No.1/2/2023-RRB dated 31 March 2024[4] and took effect on 1 May 2024.[5]

[edit]The bank traces its institutional lineage to 12 September 2005 when Karnataka Vikas Grameena Bank (KVGB) was formed by amalgamating four regional rural banks.[6]
2024 Merger
[edit]The unified entity was created via Gazette Notification No. F.No.1/2/2023-RRB[7] as part of India's "One State One RRB" policy.[8]
