Kajal Shrestha is a Nepalese Taekwondo athlete, coach, and referee. She has been involved in martial arts for over 16 years. She is Nepal's youngest international Taekwondo referee in both Kyorugi and Poomsae categories.[4] She competed at the 13th South Asian Games and won a gold medal in Taekwondo.[2]

Career

Shrestha holds a 4th Dan Black Belt from Kukkiwon. She is certified as an international coach by World Taekwondo. She has completed a powerlifting course from the Nepal Powerlifting Association and attended referee and grading seminars organized by World Taekwondo and UK Sports.[4]

In 2024, she received the Best Player of the Year award from the Nepal National and International Player Association (NNIPA).[3] She also received the Best Referee award at the 20th WATA Open International Taekwondo Championships in Japan.[5]
