Kachchhi kharek is a fresh date palm fruit grown in the district of Kachchh in Gujarat, India. It was granted GI tag recognition in 2024. Kharek in Kachchh has its own genetic diversity and indigenous varieties vary in their colour, shape and sweetness[1]. It is crunchy and sweet and harvested mid-June to end of July.
