Personal life

[edit]

Manjulan remains unmarried. In an interview, he humorously remarked that he hasn't reached the age for marriage yet, indicating his contentment with his current life. He lives with his parents and grandmother, emphasizing the importance of family in his life.

Acting career

[edit]

K. V. Manjulan holds the record for the maximum number of solo stage performances by an Indian actor, with his acclaimed one-man play Koonan (The Hunchback). Over the past two decades, Manjulan has performed Koonan more than 2,000 times across India and internationally, making it one of the most performed solo dramas in Indian theatre history.[1][2] While there are other prolific solo performers in India, such as Siddharth Randeria, who has completed over 12,000 live performances in Gujarati theatre, their work involves multiple actors. Manjulan's achievement stands out in the realm of solo performances. This remarkable feat has not been officially recognized by the Guinness World Records, but it has garnered significant attention in the Indian media and theatre community.
