Judhisthir Reang is an Indian politician from the state of Tripura. He served as a Member of the District Council (MDC) in the Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (TTAADC), representing the Ganganagar–Gandacherra (ST) constituency. Judhisthir Reang contested the 2010 TTAADC elections as a candidate of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) and secured a decisive victory with 8,509 vote.[1]


Judhisthir Reang is an Indian politician from the state of Tripura. Early life

Judhisthir Reang belongs to the indigenous Reang (Bru) tribal community of Tripura. He hails from the Dhalai district, which is one of the most remote and tribal-dominated areas of the state. He has long been involved in local governance and grassroots activism, particularly focusing on the development of tribal areas.

Political career

In 2010, Reang contested the TTAADC elections as a CPI(M) candidate and won from the Ganganagar–Gandacherra constituency. As an MDC, he focused on strengthening basic services in tribal regions, such as road connectivity, rural health services, and education. He was also known for advocating for land rights and traditional self-governance (village councils) for indigenous communities.

He worked under the leadership of the Left Front government and supported decentralised planning through the TTAADC system.
