John Griffing Jones (1804–1888) was an itinerant Methodist Episcopal Church preacher and historian of the church's activity in Mississippi and the South. He wrote A complete history of Methodism as connected with the Mississippi Conference of the Methodist Episcopal Church, South published in 1908.[1]

He married and had children.
