Jeff Davis (born August 7, 1989) is an American author and speaker known for his work in personal development, leadership, and mental health advocacy. His writing emphasizes the power of authentic leadership, emotional resilience, and the courage to leave toxic work environments.
Early life
[edit]Davis was born in Danbury, Connecticut. He graduated from McDaniel College with a degree in economics and mathematics, which included a year abroad at McDaniel's satellite campus, McDaniel College Budapest, and playing for McDaniel's Division III baseball team.[1]. He then went on to receive a master's degree in finance from Johns Hopkins Carey Business School.
Career
[edit]Davis has contributed articles to personal development websites, including Tiny Buddha[2]. In 2015, he gave a TEDx talk called How To Fulfill Your Inner Life at Stuyvesant High School in NYC. In 2016, his November book launch for Reach Your Mountaintop was featured in his hometown's paper, The Newtown Bee, talking about overcoming his challenges in high school.[3] In 2017, his work on authentic leadership was featured on Forbes[4]
He moved abroad to the Netherlands in 2017 and lived in Rotterdam, Netherlands through 2023, before moving back home to the United States. Davis has drawn on experiences in international business environments, including high-stakes ethical challenges, to inform his writing and leadership philosophy.
