Early Life and Career
[edit]Jayy Vibes, born Janaka in Sri Lanka, is a Sri Lankan electronic music DJ and producer. His career in electronic music began in 1998, influenced by both international and local producers and DJs from the late 1980s and early 1990s. That same year, he acquired DJ equipment to develop his skills, dedicating significant time to practicing and refining his craft.
In 1999, he began performing at mobile parties, gradually gaining recognition. Over the years, he played at prominent clubs such as Hippos and Graffiti.
Club Residencies and Recognition
[edit]In 2008, Jayy Vibes signed as a resident DJ at Club Zanziba, one of the leading nightclubs in Sri Lanka at the time. His performances helped solidify his reputation in the industry. The following year, in 2009, he joined Club Amuseum as a resident DJ, holding this position for three years.
Throughout his career, he has performed at various high-profile events and alongside internationally renowned DJs such as Guy J, Nick Warren, Cid Inc, Khen, Paul Thomas, Avicii, Marco V, and others.
Global Recognition
[edit]Jayy Vibes has built a strong fanbase both locally and internationally. His music and performances have been well-received, earning him a reputation as one of Sri Lanka’s leading electronic music artists.
