The Institute of Product Leadership (IPL) is an Indian executive education organization that provides programs in product management and data science.[1] The institute was founded with the goal of creating product leaders to support India's technology industry.[1] It has established partnerships with several universities and corporations to offer specialized degree and certificate programs.[2][3] Key personnel from the institute have been cited as industry experts in national media.[4]
History
[edit]The Institute of Product Leadership was founded by Pinkesh Shah and is led by CEO SaiSatish Vedam.[5][2] The institute launched a chapter in Bengaluru in November 2018.[1] Shah, who has been featured as an expert in publications such as Entrepreneur and The Hindu, stated that the institute's mission is to help India become a "global hub for product innovation".[6][7][4]
Academics and Partnerships
[edit]The institute focuses on postgraduate and executive-level education through collaborations with academic and corporate entities. In 2021, it partnered with MIT Art, Design and Technology University to create new programs in the field of product management.[8] In 2024, the institute and CMR University launched an MBA in Technology Management, designed to develop "techno-business leaders" to meet industry demand.[2][5] The institute also collaborates with corporations for employee training. In 2023, it partnered with TELUS International India to curate a specialized product management program for the company's employees as part of the TELUS International University initiative.[3]
