This submission's references do not show that the subject qualifies for a Wikipedia article—that is, they do not show significant coverage (not just passing mentions) about the subject in published, reliable, secondary sources that are independent of the subject (see the guidelines on the notability of music-related topics). Before any resubmission, additional references meeting these criteria should be added (see technical help and learn about mistakes to avoid when addressing this issue). If no additional references exist, the subject is not suitable for Wikipedia. Declined by RangersRus 5 months ago. | ![]() |
Comment: Please find multiple reliable sources with significant coverage. Source has to be secondary independent. Please do not use BLOGS and personal sites. If any of the songs or album made it to national or international chart, please list sources for this too RangersRus (talk) 23:19, 17 February 2025 (UTC)

Insania (also known as The Aristocracy of New Outlaws) is a crossover/post-hardcore music band from Brno, Czech Republic.
History
[edit]Insania was founded in 1987. After several concerts, their activity was stopped by StB (Czechoslovak Secret State Police) in 1988. From 1988, they played under a disguise name Skimmed, and after the Velvet Revolution (November 1989), they released LP New Insanity (1990), one of the first independent records in Czechoslovakia.[1]
In 1992, they resumed their activity under the name Insania, and in 1994, they released their first album Crossfade, which achieved success abroad. The band went on to tour across Europe, playing alongside bands like Voivod, Nomeansno, and Killing Joke.[2]
Following their US tour in 1998, Insania released the live album Recycling & Live in Seattle, accompanied by two studio albums, Trans-Mystic Anarchy and OUT. Trans-Mystic Anarchy and OUT.[3]
Up to and including the album OUT, the band's lyrics were a mix of Czech and English. From their subsequent releases onward, however, they have performed exclusively in Czech. In 2007, Insania released the album Rock'n'Freud, which won the Anděl award. Their album Zapal dům poraž strom… (2013) won two Anděl awards. Their latest album GRRRotesky (Smile Music Records, 2022) won the “Rock Album of the Year” Anděl award.[4] [5] [6] [7]
Musical style
[edit]The band combines influences from groups such as Faith No More, Rammstein, and Marilyn Manson with a bold vocal style resembling a dark preacher. The lyrics are rich in sarcasm, irony, provocation, and dark humor.[8]
