The Indian Institute of Commerce and Trade was founded in 1997 with the vision to deliver career-oriented management education to students and professionals unable to attend traditional, full-time programs. As one of the longstanding autonomous institutes in India offering distance business education, IICT began with a focus on foreign trade and export management and gradually expanded into a wide array of specializations in business administration.

The programs are designed to suit the needs of working professionals and entrepreneurs. Study material is provided via courier and digital platforms.

Accreditation and Recognition

[edit]

All programs of IICT are autonomous and do not come under purview of University Grants Commission (UGC) or the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). However, it is a registered autonomous body under the Societies Registration Act, 1860. It is recognized in industry circles for its career-oriented and skill-based curriculum.

In 2007, IICT Business School was ranked among the "Top 50 Most Popular Business Schools in Asia" by FindMBA.com.[1]
