impact.com is an American technology company that provides partnership management software for brands, publishers, and agencies. Founded in 2008 as Impact Radius, the company offers a platform for automating and managing various types of partnerships, including affiliate marketing, influencer marketing, commerce content partnerships, and customer referral programmes.[1] The company is headquartered in Santa Barbara, California, with offices in North America, Europe, Asia, and Australia.[2]
History
[edit]impact.com was established in 2008 by Per Pettersen and several co-founders under the name Impact Radius.[3] The company initially focused on affiliate marketing technology before expanding its platform to support a broader range of partnership models.[3] In 2016, impact.com received a $30 million investment from Silversmith Capital Partners, which supported the acquisition of Forensiq, an advertising fraud prevention company.[4] The company rebranded from Impact Radius to impact.com in 2017, consolidating its product suite under the new name.[5]
David A. Yovanno was appointed CEO in 2017, with Pettersen remaining as executive chairman and chief strategy officer.[6] In July 2021, impact.com announced it had raised $150 million in a funding round led by Qatar Investment Authority and Providence Public, which valued the company at $1.5 billion.[7] At that time, the company reported surpassing $100 million in annual recurring revenue. In 2024, impact.com reported exceeding $200 million in annual recurring revenue and cited a gross merchandise value of over $100 billion, as well as a gross transaction value of $4.5 billion annually.[9]

- In 2015, the company acquired ClearSaleing and Media Manager (later rebranded as Altitude).[10][11]

- In 2020, impact.com acquired Activate, an influencer marketing platform.[12]
- In 2021, the company acquired Trackonomics, a supply-side platform for commerce content publishers,[13] and Affluent, an analytics and automation platform for agencies.[14]
- In 2022, impact.com acquired Pressboard, a branded content analytics platform.[15]
- In 2023, it acquired SaaSquatch, a customer referral software provider.[16]
- The company also acquired Mediarails, a CRM and marketing automation platform, in 2018.[17]
