iiDENTIFii is a Cape Town, South Africa-based fintech provider of biometric identity verification software, protecting digital identity.

History

In 2019, South-African based Standard Bank[1] opted for iiDENTIFii’s technology to enhance the security of its online and mobile banking. In 2021, iiDENTIFii partnered with UK fintech company iProov.[2] In 2022, the company raised $15 million from Arise, U.S. tech entrepreneur Bill Spruill, and Sanari Capital. In 2025, Bloomberg named iiDENTIFii as one of 25 African startups.[3]

Biometrics

The technology integrates with enterprise and mobile platforms, using facial recognition and 3D/4D liveness detection to verify customers against government-issued identity documents using the camera function on their mobile devices.[4][5]
