I. S. Ramachandran (7 November 1936) was an Indian actor. Also known as ISR. He has acted in over 500 films. ISR has founded a drama troupe and staged several plays. He was from K. Balachander's troupe. He has also acted in some TV series and some TV series.[1]
Early life
[edit]ISR was born in sokkanatha puthur village in near rajapalayam. His father's name was Sakkarai Nadar. His younger brother's name was solaippan, also known as sholai. he has also acted in dramas and films. ISR came to Chennai for higher study. then, He was employed at the Southern Railway. While had working, he acted and drama films in leisure times.
Film Career
[edit]He has shown his versatility in hundreds of films such as Ethir Neechal, Palabishegham, Soappu Seeppu Kannadi, Rajanagam, Then Kinnam, Server Sundaram and many more. He has been a company star in K. Balaji's films and several films directed by K. Balachander.
Family
[edit]His wife's name is ponnuthayi He has two sons and two daughters. The eldest son, Selvakumar is working in Puthiyathalaimurai channel.
Death
[edit]While acting a movie in Kumbakonam, he died of a heart attack and died in a private hospital. his last film was Mogamul (1995)[2]
