Henry Edward Watkins (1782?-1856) was a lawyer and politician in Virginia. He served in the Virginia House of Delegates and the Virginia Senate]]. War of 1812[1][2]
He lived in Prince Edward County, Virginia.[3]
He attended Hampden-Sydney College, Washington College, Princeton (A.B.) and William & Mary for law. He married Agnes daughter of Samuel Woodson and Mary née Carrington Venable. Born at "Poplar Hill", now more commonly known as the Dunnington Mansion (Dunnington Tobacco Company). The mansion has a long history.[4] Lived nearby at "The Home" where he ran a law school?
He served as Commonwealth of Virginia Attorney 1810-1813; House of Delegates member 1812-1833; Virginia Senate 1833-1834.

Henry Edward Watkins was a doctor and politician in Virginia. He was a surgeon in the Confederate army.[1]
Francis Nathaniel Watkins was his sone and Asa D. Watkins one of his many grandchildren.
