Harrods International Academy is a private international school based in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. The school provides education from early years to secondary level across multiple campuses in the city. It is part of the Global Schools Group, a Singapore-based international education network.
Widely regarded as one of the leading international schools in Phnom Penh,[1] Harrods has grown rapidly in both scale and reputation due to its global curriculum offerings, modern facilities, and focus on 21st-century learning.
History
[edit]Harrods International Academy was founded in 2014. In January 2022, the school officially became part of the Global Schools Group, joining a network of over 10 international schools operating in 11 countries.[2]
In 2023, the school inaugurated its sixth campus in BKK1 and seventh Campus in Toul Kork. The launch ceremony was presided over by H.E. Dr. Soeung Rathchavy, Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs, and marked a key milestone in the school’s expansion in Cambodia.[3]
Campuses
[edit]As of 2025, Harrods operates seven campuses across Phnom Penh, with separate facilities for Early Years, Primary, and Secondary students. Each campus is equipped with subject-specific classrooms, outdoor learning areas, sports courts, and dedicated technology labs.[4]
Curriculum
[edit]Harrods follows multiple international curricula depending on the student’s grade level:
- Early Years: International Early Years Curriculum (IEYC) and Montessori approaches for students aged 18 months to 4 years.[5]
- Primary: International Primary Curriculum (IPC) combined with Cambridge Primary and selected components of the Cambodian National Curriculum.[6]
- Secondary: Cambridge IGCSE and A-Level programmes, Harrods Secondary Certificate (HSC), and preparation for Khmer national examinations.[7]
