Comment: The first three paragraphs are unreferenced, and the fourth is referenced with a source (website home page) that doesn't seem to obviously support anything in this draft. Hülya Kavuzlu is a Turkish author and spiritual figure, known for her interpretations of the Quran and advocacy for peace and social welfare. She is the founder of the Spirituals and Spiritualists Association (SPIRITDER) and has published several works related to spiritual readings of Islamic scripture.
Early life and education
[edit]Kavuzlu was born in Adana, Türkiye. She earned a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry and later completed MBA in International Business from Preston University.
Career
[edit]Kavuzlu began her professional career as a production and quality systems engineer and later served in managerial roles within international companies. Alongside her professional work, she pursued spiritual studies and began sharing her interpretations of religious texts in her early youth.
Since 2010, Kavuzlu has focused on sharing her views on spirituality, emphasizing messages of love, peace, and truth, particularly through interpretations of the Quran. In 2018, she founded the Spirituals and Spiritualists Association (SPIRITDER), a non-governmental organization that promotes spiritual awareness, peace, and charitable assistance.[1]
Activism and initiatives
[edit]In addition to her Quran-related work, Kavuzlu has advocated for social welfare, including calls for unconditional aid and charitable initiatives.[2]
In 2024, she was involved in organizing a gathering of spiritual and personal development experts in Turkey, which focused on universal spiritual themes.[3]
In May 2021, under Kavuzlu's leadership, SPIRITDER conducted a campaign titled "Ramazan Ayı Yardımlaşma Ayı" ("Ramadan Month is the Month of Solidarity"), distributing food packages to 250 families in various districts of Istanbul and providing aid to a total of 350 families across different regions, including Northern Cyprus.[4]
In the context of international relations, Kavuzlu has made public calls for peaceful resolution and humanitarian initiatives in conflict regions. In 2024, she urged global and regional actors to take swift action to promote peace in Palestine.[5]
In order to further expand her service to society, she participated in the municipal elections held in 2024 as an Independent Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Mayoral Candidate.[6]
Universal Quran Collection
[edit]Kavuzlu developed a project titled the Universal Comprehension of the Quran, a series of sessions and books interpreting Quranic surahs using a method she describes as “algorithmic expansion.” These sessions have been published online,[7] and later compiled into books. Among the published works in this series are:
Alak: The Molecule of the Lord[8]
Qadr: The Emergence of the Multiplicity[9]
Fajr: The Event Horizon[10]
The collection aims to present the Quran as universally accessible without requiring knowledge of Arabic, according to Kavuzlu.
Kavuzlu continues to compile and publish her interpretations of Quranic surahs as part of the Universal Quran Collection. In 2022, she initiated a campaign promoting global peace and unity, which included distributing a letter inviting religious leaders, political figures, and intellectuals to embrace messages of love and harmony. In 2024, she ran as an independent candidate in the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality mayoral elections.[11] She stated that local governments should serve society rather than act as political platforms.[12]
