The Hän Honour is an award granted by the Finnish Government to groups and individuals that are working towards a more just and equal world. It's a symbol for a better world where people are not defined by their background, gender or appearance. [1].
The campaign is part of Finland’s Ministry for Foreign Affairs equality campaign that aims to highlight equality issues in the global discourse.[2] In order to promote equality-related values in society around the world, Finland has awarded Hän Honours at Finnish missions abroad starting in May 2019 in Norway with Jenter og Teknologi, a project that belongs to the NHO (the Confederation of Norwegian Enterprises) and aims to bring girls into the world of science and technology.[3]
