Grigorii Palamarchuk

‘’‘Grigorii Palamarchuk’’’ (born November 23, 1988, Myrnograd, Ukraine, USSR) is a Ukrainian-born concert pianist, composer, and arranger based in New York City. Known for his expressive performances and cross-genre repertoire, Palamarchuk has performed across Europe, Russia, and the United States, and has been featured on international television and in various media outlets. He is a laureate of several international music competitions and has appeared as a Guest Entertainer on cruise ships worldwide.

Early Life and Education

Grigorii Palamarchuk was born in Myrnograd, Ukraine. He began studying piano at the age of six and continued his education at the First Music School of Myrnograd (1995–1997), followed by the Glier Music School in Kaliningrad (1997–2004), where he studied under Honored Artist of Russia Vera Schukina. He then enrolled in the Kaliningrad Regional College of Music (2004–2008), studying with Vladimir Slabodyan. After that, he graduated from the Gnessin Russian Academy of Music in Moscow, where he studied jazz piano under Professor Igor Bril, Valery Grokhovskiy, Anatoly Kroll. He also pursued further academic education at the Immanuel Kant Baltic Federal University, where he studied philology under Professor G.I. Berestnev, and later attended RMA Business School in Moscow, specializing in music management and production.

Professional Career

Grigorii Palamarchuk.[1] began performing professionally as a child, with his first televised appearances in Ukraine at the age of five [2]. Throughout his teens and early adulthood, he actively participated in concerts, festivals, and competitions across Eastern Europe. At age 21, he became the youngest conductor of the Kaliningrad Philharmonic Jazz Band [3] and also led the Tango Orchestra.

Over the course of his career, Palamarchuk has collaborated with a wide range of notable performers, including renowned Russian jazz and pop artists such as Larisa Dolina and the vocal ensemble Novie Samotsvety. He is also the creator of the unique concert program *Astor Piazzolla on the Piano*, which he first premiered at the Glière Music School in Kaliningrad[5]

From 2011 to 2021, Palamarchuk averaged more than 200 performances per year, appearing in jazz clubs, concert halls, theaters, and major festivals throughout Russia, Europe, and beyond. Between 2022 and 2024, he worked as a Guest Entertainer aboard cruise ships, where he traveled to 77 countries and produced two solo performance shows: Reimagined Classic and Reimagined Rhapsody.

He currently resides in New York City, where he performs regularly, collaborates with local and international musicians, teaches piano and arrangement, and continues work on new musical projects and upcoming albums.

Palamarchuk appeared on the national TV show ‘‘Bolshoy Jazz’’ (Kultura Channel, 2013) [11], and in programs on Channel Friday (2016), as well as on local TV in Kaliningrad and Moscow. He also performed on the variety show ‘‘Anshlag’’ as an accompanist.

Albums and Publications

In June 2025, Palamarchuk released his debut solo piano album, ‘‘Greatest Hits, Reimagined Piano’’ — a collection of pop covers arranged for solo piano. It is available on all digital platforms. He also publishes sheet music arrangements for piano.
