[edit]On July 7, 1946, A letter was sent to the Greek Archdiocese requesting information on how to start an Orthodox Church in Rochester. On September 11, 1947, A task force was appointed to secure a charter from the State of Minnesota and from the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese to establish a Greek Orthodox Church in Rochester. On November 30, 1953, Groundbreaking was held for the original church building located at 703 West Center Street in Rochester, Minnesota. On June 8, 1954 - Original church building was completed. On Sunday June 13, 1954, First Divine Liturgy was held in the original church building. The Services were held in the church building on Sunday July 10, 1955. In 1973, First remodeling of the original church building was completed. In 1978, David Giffey the Wisconsin Artist started to paint and install some icons in the church building, the project started in 1979. 10 years afterwards Second remodeling of the church building was completed. On Sunday Sept 14, 2003, Groundbreaking for a new church building was held, the Construction begin in late Sept 2003 until the new church opened its doors in Oct 2004. The service begin on the first Sunday of 2004 in the new church. On Sunday June 14, 2015, the groundbreaking for the new fellowship hall was held in the site, on Saturday, July 18, 2015, the Old Church was Demolished for the new fellowship hall and community center, the construction was completed in early March 2016.
