In 2019, the company partnered with Stanford University to launch an artificial intelligence program.[2] In 2021, Great Learning was acquired by BYJU'S for a reported $600 million, marking a significant milestone in its growth and BYJU'S expansion into professional upskilling.[3]
Operations
[edit]Great Learning offers online learning programs featuring self-paced video lectures, live classes, and hands-on projects, targeting working professionals. Its courses are developed in partnership with universities like Stanford University and the University of Texas at Austin, and it provides a learning management system and career support services.[4] Online education programs, including those from Great Learning, have faced scrutiny over their effectiveness and cost.[5]
