Glasshouse Fragrances is an Australian fragrance company founded in 2006 by entrepreneur Nicole Eckels. Best known for its triple-scented candles, alcohol-based reed diffusers and more recently, Eau de Parfum, the brand has expanded across Australia, New Zealand, and the United States.[1]
History
[edit]Glasshouse Fragrances was established in Sydney, Australia in 2006 by New York-born Nicole Eckels. Inspired by the lack of bold, long-lasting home fragrance options in the Australian market, Eckels launched a range of triple-scented candles that would become the brand’s signature product. The company later expanded into personal care and fine fragrance, while maintaining a focus on high fragrance load and performance.
Brand and Marketing
[edit]Glasshouse Fragrances is known for its evocative storytelling and destination-themed collections. Fragrances such as "Kyoto in Bloom", "A Tahaa Affair", and "Arabian Nights" are named after and inspired by international locations. The brand frequently releases limited edition collections and collaborates with Australian artists and designers on seasonal packaging.[2]
International Expansion
[edit]The brand began exporting to the United States and New Zealand in the late 2010s. In 2021, Glasshouse Fragrances expanded its e-commerce operations internationally and launched in major U.S. retailers such as Saks and Bloomingdale's.[3]
