Besart Kelmendi (Albanian: [bɛˈsaɾt kɛlˈmɛndi]; born May 8, 2000), known professionally as Gjesti, is a Kosovo-Albanian singer and songwriter. He gained attention in 2020 with his debut single "Idiote". He participated in the third season of Big Brother VIP Kosova and later won the fourth season of Big Brother VIP Albania in 2025.

[edit]Born on May 8, 2000 in Pavlan of Peja comune, he began his music career in January 2020 with the release of his debut single "Idiote".[1] The music video received over 1.5 million views on YouTube within a week.[2] By the end of 2020, the song had reached 10 million views.[3]
After "Idiote", Gjesti released several other songs, including "Ani" (2022), a collaboration with singer Ema,[4] and "Beba" (2023), produced by Albos.[5]
In 2023, Gjesti also released the singles "Princeshë", "Oh Zot", and "Ku Mete". These tracks contributed to his growing recognition in the Albanian music scene. [6]
Television
[edit]In 2024, Gjesti participated in the third season of Big Brother VIP Kosova, where he spent 83 days in the house and was eliminated after facing public vote elemination against Drilon Rama.[7][8]
In early 2025, he joined the fourth season of Big Brother VIP Albania as a surprise contestant. was declared the winner after receiving the most votes in the final.
On 20 April 2025, during the final of Big Brother VIP Albania 4, Gjesti faced Rozana Radi on the final podium and was declared the winner after receiving the most votes, with a €100,000 prize.[9]
