Reviews:

Chuck Duncan of Hotchka reviewed the film saying, "Lifetime goes in a different direction with its latest original movie, eschewing the exploitative ‘Ripped from the Headlines” movies while tackling a subject that impacts people in their real lives every day — homelessness. While this story is fictional, it all feels very real."[11]

Upamanyu Biswas of Moviedelic said, "‘Give Me Back My Daughter’ is a straightforward narrative that mainly focuses on character growth and emotional payoff. Its simple structure lends to a focused story where the execution is more important than the complexity of the subject matter explored."

Patrick Serrano of Lifetime Uncorked said, "Gabourey Sidibe should do Christmas movies," and "This movie was meandering and in need of a proper villain."
