Early Life George Yugay was born on May 2, 2003, in Uzbekistan. Of mixed ethnic background, he moved to Lebanon at an early age with his family. Experiencing bullying during childhood, he turned to judo as a means of self-defense. The sport soon became a passion, and he committed himself fully to training and competition.

Judo Career Yugay began training at Bouddha Club under the guidance of coach François Saadé Jr. His technical skill and discipline quickly set him apart. From 2016 to 2021, he dominated the national scene in the –60 kg category, winning the Lebanese National Judo Championship for five consecutive years.

In 2021, he qualified for the Asian Judo Championships, representing Lebanon on the continental stage. Despite a harsh weight cut prior to the event, he secured 7th place—an impressive showing in a highly competitive field. Following that, he moved up to the –66 kg weight class to continue his career.

Yugay has also competed in jiujitsu and multi-discipline events, displaying a broader combat sports background.

Personal Life George Yugay speaks Russian and English fluently, with a conversational grasp of Lebanese Arabic. Outside of judo, he is known for his dedication to physical training and his interest in promoting martial arts among youth.
