Gaurav Phuyal
[edit]Gaurav Phuyal is a Nepali sports entrepreneur, documentary producer, and media professional. He is the founder and CEO of Bhakundo Media and Management, known for his work in South Asian sports management, media production, and football development. Phuyal gained international recognition after producing Sankata Ko Dhun, a sports documentary nominated among the Top 10 Best Sports Documentaries in Asia by the International Sports Press Association (AIPS).
Early Life and Education
[edit]Phuyal completed high school in Nepal in 2019 As of 2025, he finished his university degree in Computer Applications (BCA) program. He is also the AFC 'C' licence football diploma holder with currently enrolled in Asian Football Confederation course of Football Admnistration and Management.
Career
[edit]Phuyal began his career in event and talent management, helping promote emerging athletes and organizing sports-focused digital campaigns across South Asia. His grassroots storytelling and entrepreneurial vision have made him a prominent figure in the Nepali sports ecosystem.
In 2023, he released the documentary Sankata Ko Dhun, which explores the legacy of Sankata Club, one of Nepal’s oldest football institutions. He was also featured in the Spanish sports outlet "Gaurav Phuyal featured in Marca". Marca. 15 October 2023. for his contributions to Nepali football, grassroots development, and international collaborations.
Phuyal has also been involved in transfer discussions with international footballers, including Chilean forward Angelo Henriquez, and regularly works with athletes to shape branding and digital visibility strategies.
Bhakundo Media and Management
[edit]Phuyal founded Bhakundo Media and Management, a sports-focused media company based in Nepal. The company works in digital content production, athlete management, and media consulting for sports organizations, footballers, and cricket professionals across South Asia.
