Submission declined on 25 March 2025 by PARAKANYAA (talk). This submission's references do not show that the subject qualifies for a Wikipedia article—that is, they do not show significant coverage (not just passing mentions) about the subject in published, reliable, secondary sources that are independent of the subject (see the guidelines on the notability of events). Before any resubmission, additional references meeting these criteria should be added (see technical help and learn about mistakes to avoid when addressing this issue). If no additional references exist, the subject is not suitable for Wikipedia. Declined by PARAKANYAA 3 months ago. | ![]() |
Comment: No changes since last comment. This probably needs more expansion and more English sources from outside Bulgaria.

Comment: There should be sources from outside Bulgaria. All references used here are solely Bulgarian, which doesn't show significant coverage. Joãohola 06:55, 12 July 2025 (UTC)
Gabriela Bogomova Sashova and Krasimir Penkov Georgiev are Bulgarian citizens who were arrested due to allegations of severe cruelty against animals. The pair reportedly filmed themselves torturing and killing animals, and subsequently sold the recordings as crash fetish pornography via Telegram and other platforms. According to investigators, their operations began 2 to 3 years prior to their arrest.[1]. The duo offered a price list for the killing of various small animals including cats, rabbits, and mice and then killed them slowly and brutally charging customers[2] between 50 and 700 euros per video.[3]
The activities of Sashova and Georgiev led to significant public outrage, resulting in widespread protests across major Bulgarian cities,[4][5][6] including their hometown of Pernik. The case not only drew attention to the specific crimes but also sparked a broader public discourse on animal rights within the country.
Four months after the nationwide protests, widespread public outcry resulted in legislative reforms addressing animal cruelty.[7][8]
In response to the case and the public reaction it incited, the Bulgarian Ministry of Justice moved to initiate urgent legislative reforms aimed at enhancing the protection of animal rights.[9]
Further compounding their legal issues, Sashova and Georgiev were also charged with money laundering, conspiracy and criminal enterprise. They remain in police custody pending trial.[10]
