Submission declined on 2 March 2025 by Qcne (talk). This submission appears to read more like an advertisement than an entry in an encyclopedia. Encyclopedia articles need to be written from a neutral point of view, and should refer to a range of independent, reliable, published sources, not just to materials produced by the creator of the subject being discussed. This is important so that the article can meet Wikipedia's verifiability policy and the notability of the subject can be established. If you still feel that this subject is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia, please rewrite your submission to comply with these policies. Declined by Qcne 2 months ago. | ![]() |

The GMC Sierra EV is a full-size electric pickup truck manufactured by General Motors under the GMC brand. It is built on the Ultium platform, an electric vehicle architecture developed by General Motors.
History
[edit]The GMC Sierra EV was announced as part of the company's strategy to expand its lineup of electric vehicles. Production is conducted at Factory Zero, General Motors' Detroit-Hamtramck Assembly Center, which focuses on the production of electric vehicles.
Design
[edit]The Sierra EV’s design is similar to the standard Sierra but with different styling cues. The most distinguishable being different shaped headlights, and the lack of a vented grille. In comparison to the standard Sierra, the EV has a more modern, less boxy design.
Performance
[edit]The Sierra EV is powered by a dual-motor system that provides all-wheel drive. The truck has a stated towing capacity of up to 10,500 pounds and an estimated range of up to 460 miles per charge, depending on the configuration. Charging options include DC fast charging, which is reported to add approximately 100 miles of range in about 10 minutes. The vehicle also offers bidirectional charging capabilities.
Market and Future plans
[edit]The vehicle was initially launched in only the top trim level, the Denali, with additional trims expected to follow in subsequent production runs.
