Francis S. Taylor Wildlife Management Area in Florida is in three counties and is managed by the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission. Activities include fishing, hunting, hiking, cycling, and wildlife viewing.[1] It is part of the Everglades complex of wildlife lanagement areas.[2]

Habitats include freshwater swamp and wet prairie. A levee system rin along its northern border and parts of I-75 and US 41 pass through it. Parts of the area are accessible by airboat.[3] Hunts are scheduled and visitors are encouraged to wear neon orange during them.[4]

Wildlife in the area include Snail Kite, White-tailed Kite, Wood Stork, and alligator.[3] A 17-foot burmese python was caught in the area.[5][6]

The Cuba–Florida tornadoes of March 16–17, 1983 passed through. ValuJet Flight 592 crashed into it.

Signage in the area has noted largemouth / Florida bass (Micropterus salmoides ) fishing size regulations.[7]
