For Unley is a registered political party in South Australia, founded in 2025 by Ryan Harrison, a former Labor candidate for the electoral district of Unley. The party was formed to contest the 2026 South Australian state election, with a platform focused on local issues specific to the Unley electorate.
History
[edit]Harrison previously ran for Unley in the 2022 South Australian state election as the endorsed candidate for the Labor Party, achieving an 8.8 percent swing in first preference votes—the largest in the seat’s history—reducing the Liberal margin to 2.2 percent on a two-party preferred basis.[1]
In 2025, Harrison resigned from Labor, citing concerns about internal party processes. Shortly after, he launched the For Unley party to provide what he described as a community-focused alternative to the major parties.[2]

[edit]For Unley was officially registered with the Electoral Commission of South Australia in June 2025 and is expected to contest the 2026 election as a locally based political party.
