Fine Tune Expense Management (often shortened to Fine Tune) is an American consulting firm that specialises in managing and reducing complex indirect-services expenses for large enterprises.[2] Headquartered in Chicago, Illinois, the company works with Fortune 1000 organisations to optimise categories such as uniform rental, waste and recycling, pest control and security services. Fine Tune is a Certified B Corporation and markets a proprietary auditing platform, Expense Management Optimisation & Auditing Technology (eMOAT).[1]
History
[edit]Fine Tune was incorporated on 1 February 2002 in Bloomington, Indiana, by Rich Ham and Matt Smith, both former uniform-rental industry executives.[3] The founders later relocated the headquarters to Chicago. During the 2010s the firm expanded its service lines to include waste & recycling, energy & utilities, pest control and security-guard contracts.[3]
Fine Tune earned B Corp certification in May 2021 after scoring 91.6 on the B Impact Assessment.[1]
Services
[edit]The consultancy pairs category-specific experts with continuous invoice monitoring through its eMOAT software platform.[3] It typically works on a performance-based “gain-sharing” fee model, taking a percentage of verified client savings.[4]
Recognition
[edit]- 2022 – Named one of Supply & Demand Chain Executive’s “Top Supply Chain Projects” for an optimisation engagement that generated more than US\$100,000 in savings for a specialty-materials manufacturer.[5]
