Erik Pio Garaj (born 31 July 1997) is a Slovak athlete, Brazilian jiu-jitsu competitor, and certified fitness trainer. He won first place at the 2022 NABBA Slovakia bodybuilding championship and participates in Brazilian jiu-jitsu competitions under the Abu Dhabi Jiu-Jitsu Pro (AJP) Tour. Garaj is also known for his involvement in physical training education and exercise program development.
Education
[edit]Erik Garaj studied athletic training at the Faculty of Physical Education and Sports, Comenius University in Bratislava, graduating with a master’s degree in 2023. He also completed part of his studies at the Institut Nacional d’Educació Física de Catalunya (INEFC) in Barcelona during 2021–2022 and participated in an Erasmus exchange at the Norwegian School of Sport Sciences in 2018.

[edit]He holds several professional certifications related to personal training and functional movement:

- 2017 – Calisthenics Level 1 & 2 (World Calisthenics Organization)
- 2018 – Functional Stabilisation of Shoulder Blades (CoreTraining)

Competitive career
[edit]In 2022, Erik Garaj placed first at the NABBA Slovakia national bodybuilding championship.[1] He also competes in Brazilian jiu-jitsu events and appears in the AJP Tour official database as an active athlete.
Other activities
[edit]In 2024, Erik Garaj released a mobile application related to physical training. The application contains a database of exercises and includes progress monitoring features.[2][3]
He is also associated with a training facility and has received public reviews for his work.[4]
