Comment: Since my last declination, you removed the AFC template, which is considered vandalism, you also reduced the quality of the draft itself. Signed, Pichemist ( Contribs | Talk ) 16:14, 12 May 2025 (UTC)

Eray Altunbozar (born 1987) is a Turkish entrepreneur, engineer, and inventor. He is the founder of AirCar, a company developing autonomous electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) vehicles, and Outliers Notebook, a reusable digital notebook company. His work focuses on urban air mobility and sustainable technology solutions.[1]
Early life and education
[edit]Altunbozar was born in 1987 in Diyarbakır, Turkey, and raised in Karadeniz Eregli.[2] His father was a mechanical engineer at Erdemir. He attended Ereğli Anadolu High School, where he was active in chess, athletics, and music.
At age 18, he moved to New York, United States, and worked multiple jobs to support himself during university. He graduated with honors from the State University of New York (SUNY) in business, after switching from engineering.[3] In 2013, he enrolled in a master’s program at Harvard University but left to pursue entrepreneurial work.[4]
Career
[edit]Early work
[edit]After graduating from SUNY, Altunbozar worked as a procurement consultant at an FMCG company, managing a $400 million budget.[5]
Outliers Notebook
[edit]In 2016, Altunbozar co-founded Outliers Notebook with Volkan Gökberk. The product digitizes handwritten notes and can be erased in a microwave. It was exported to over 35 countries and received attention for its sustainable design.[6]
AirCar
[edit]In 2017, Altunbozar founded AirCar in Kadıköy, Istanbul, later relocating operations to Bilişim Vadisi in Kocaeli.[7] The company develops electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) vehicles for urban air mobility. On April 5, 2025 Eray Altunbozar piloted the single-seater prototype himself, taking off from the test center and landing at the helipad where the two-seater model was stationed. He then proceeded to fly the two-seater vehicle, successfully completing the manned flight test. [8]
The vehicle is designed to reduce urban travel time, with a typical two-hour journey shortened to about 20 minutes.[9] Most components are developed in-house.[1]
