Agnes, known online as Epic Gamer Grandma (born 1946) is a Scottish social media personality from the city of Dunfermline Fife, Scotland, known for her humorous videos on TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube. Diagnosed with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), her distinctive cough and numerous catchphrases have become hallmarks of her content. She began posting in 2018 and gained significant popularity under the name "Epic Gamer Grandma" after initially using the handle "Readymeal."

Early Career (2018–2021)

Epic Gamer Grandma started posting on TikTok in 2018 under the username "Readymeal" to share videos with family and friends. After rebranding to "Epic Gamer Grandma," her following grew rapidly, reaching 900,000 followers by 2021. Her content, featuring her humor, and personal anecdotes, resonated with a wide audience.

In 2020 and 2021, she collaborated with Edinburgh-based clothing brand The Fresh Stuff to release two clothing collections. However, three days before the launch of the second collection, her TikTok account was unexpectedly terminated without explanation, halting her online presence.

Return and Growth (2023–present)

Epic Gamer Grandma resumed posting on TikTok on March 21, 2023, after a two-year hiatus. Within a month, she surpassed her previous follower count, reaching over 1 million followers. As of 2025, her TikTok account has over 2.4 million followers and 80 million total likes, with her most popular video garnering nearly 53 million views.

In 2023, she joined Instagram after discovering accounts were re-posting her content without permission. Her Instagram account quickly grew to over 900,000 followers, amassing more than 100 million views. Her most viewed Instagram video, a Q&A session, has 46.6 million views.

On YouTube, she has over 85,000 subscribers, primarily from re-uploads of her TikTok and Instagram videos.

Merchandise

In 2024, Epic Gamer Grandma released a hat and a plush toy collection modeled after her likeness. These were produced independently through her grandson’s company, EVERY THOUGHT CREATIVE, trading as CULSANS LTD. in the UK.

Death Hoax (2025)

In April 2025, a rumor spread across TikTok and Instagram falsely claiming that Epic Gamer Grandma had passed away. She debunked the rumor by commenting on one of the videos, stating, "First I’m hearing of it."

Personal Life

Epic Gamer Grandma was born in 1946 in Fife, Scotland, and continues to reside there. Her Real name is Agnes, though her full name has never been revealed likely for personal reasons. She has been open about her COPD diagnosis, which causes her characteristic cough featured in her videos. She was featured in her local newspaper, The Dunfermline Press in early 2024, celebrating her reaching over a million followers in an interview with her grandson revealed as Dylan King, now known as Culsans King as per Company’s House.
