Elizabeth "Libby" Ogren Rothra (1923-March 13, 2014) was a writer. She had various jobs including work as a publicist before becoming a writer in Florida.[1] She wrote books about two prominent Florida naturalists.

She was born in Jamestown, New York. She graduated from Jamestown High School in 1941 and attended West Virginia University.[2]

In Jamestown she had a radio program called "Cathy Comes Calling". She moved to New York City and worked for Fred Waring and Prentice Hall. She also worked for Radio Free Europe and the Chataqua Institution.

In 1962 she married Dann Rothra and moved to Miami, Florida where she became a writer. She researched and wrote about John C. Gifford and Charles Torrey Simpson (1846-1932). She spent time in New York and Florida. She retired to Rainbow Springs. The University of Florida has a collection of her papers.[2]

She was a member of the Jamestown Audobon Society and volunteered at Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden in Miami. She assisted John C. Lilly with dolphin research.[1]
