Dylan Farley has pitched in the Hoofdklasse and for the Dutch national team. He is the son of Brian Farley. [1]
He debuted with the Hoofddorp Pioniers in 2019, allowing three runs in 1/3 of an inning at age 18. He was 0-1 with a 9.20 ERA in the 2021 Hoofdklasse and also appeared for Odessa College that year. [2] Transferring to Mineral Area College for the '22 collegiate season, he was 2-1 with a 2.40 ERA and 18 K in 15 IP for the Pioniers in 2022, showing good strides. He was 0-1 despite a 1.40 ERA in the 2022 U-23 Baseball World Cup, losing a duel to South Korea. [3]
Farley was originally on the Dutch roster for the 2023 World Baseball Classic but was replaced by Arij Fransen when he wasn't in good enough shape. [4] He allowed four walks and two runs in one inning for the Amsterdam Pirates in 2023 but they won the 2023 Holland Series. He was 3-2 with a 6.69 ERA for Nicholls State in 2024 and 0-1 with a 2.31 ERA for the 2024 Amsterdam Pirates. He was 1-0 with a 1.00 ERA in the 2024 U-23 Baseball World Cup, beating Taiwan's Li-Chen Wu. [5] In the 2024 Premier 12, he made one appearance, relieving Eric Mendez in the 5th with a 5-2 deficit against Team USA, with one on and two out. He whiffed Ryan Ward to end the inning. In the 6th, he walked Carson Williams but retired Justin Williams. Colby Thomas singled but both Williams and Thomas were out on the bases on the play. The 7th was rough as he walked Drake Baldwin, allowed a Termarr Johnson single and walked Chandler Simpson. Scott Prins relieved and let all three runners in, saddling Farley with a 20.25 ERA. [6]
