Product Overview
[edit]Plagiarism Detection
DrillBit Plagiarism is a scholarly writing tool aimed at detecting possible occurrences of plagiarism in written content like documents, research papers, and academic submissions. The application examines material using a database of scholarly articles, online resources, and organizational archives to detect resemblances. Upon finding matches, it produces a similarity report that shows the percentage of matched content and emphasizes the related segments. The resource is frequently utilized by teachers, learners, and scholars to promote correct citation methods and maintain academic honesty.[10][11] [12][13]
AI Content Detection
DrillBit offers features to identify AI-generated content by examining patterns characteristic of text created by large language models, such as ChatGPT and Gemini. It also recognizes paraphrased content that could have been altered to hide its AI source, thus aiding academic institutions in ensuring originality in submissions.
LMS Integration
DrillBit integrates with various learning management systems (LMS), such as Moodle, Blackboard, Canvas, Google Classroom, Brightspace, Lanquill, and Quiklrn. These integrations allow institutions to embed plagiarism detection seamlessly into their current digital learning platforms, enhancing efficiency for instructors and students alike.
Academic Repository
The software preserves a confidential repository where student submissions can be stored for future plagiarism examinations. This repository aids in avoiding content duplication in submissions by facilitating cross-comparison within the saved database.
Grammar Quality Assessment
DrillBit features a beta option for grammar evaluation, providing users with insights on the grammatical quality of their submitted content in addition to similarity detection.[14][15][16][17] [18][19]
