Dr. Fauziah Mohd Hasan (born c. 1957) is a Malaysian obstetrician‑gynaecologist and humanitarian activist known for her international medical relief work in conflict zones. A graduate of the University of Tasmania and Fellow of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, she gained prominence as the sole Malaysian aboard the Women’s Boat to Gaza mission in 2016, and continues advocacy for women and children in crises.
Early life and education
[edit]Fauziah was born in 1957 in Kuala Terengganu, Malaysia, into a Chinese-Muslim family descended from Chinese migrants to Malaya. Medical career
[edit]Dr. Fauziah has served as a consultant obstetrician‑gynaecologist at KPJ Ampang Puteri Specialist Hospital in Kuala Lumpur since 1997, with over 40 years of experience in clinical practice.^“IMAM ASC 2024 - bio”
Humanitarian work

Between 2000 and 2006, she served as Treasurer of MERCY Malaysia. Since 2015, she has been a member of the Board of Trustees of MyCARE, and an advisor to Rose2Rose (a MyCARE affiliate) since 2011.^“IMAM ASC 2024”

Women's Boat to Gaza
[edit]In September 2016, Dr. Fauziah was the only Malaysian representative aboard the *Zaytouna‑Oliva* as part of the Women's Boat to Gaza mission organized by the Freedom Flotilla Coalition.
