Dil Wali Gali Mein (transl. In the Street of Heart) is a Pakistani Ramadan special television series,[2] written by Zafar Mairaj and directed by Kashif Nisar.[3] It was produced by Momina Duraid, under the production banner MD Productions. Set in a traditional neighborhood, the series revolves around Deeju who dreams of finding her own place in the world and within her marriage.[4] It stars Sajal Aly and Hamza Sohail as leads. The series will be broadcast on 1st of Ramadan or 1 March 2025 on Hum TV.[5][6]
Premise
[edit]The story is set in a lively neighbourhood and revolves around Khadija "Deeju" Adnan, a young woman who is determined to marry Mujtaba "Mujji" Siddiqui.
According to the teaser and announcements, the series focuses on the themes of love, family, and community development.[7]
Plot
[edit]It is the story of Deeju and Mujji who are cousins and love each other but their family has a past conflict. Their plan to do court marriage gets halted when their families agree for their marriage. After marriage Deeju faces problems in Mujji's house, located in the building of the school where her mother is the Principal, including the lack of attached bathroom and lack of privacy. During the ceremony of the annual function of the school, they elope to a hotel tospend time together, however get caught by the police due to having no official papers of their marriage. After fleeing from there, the upset Deeju leaves to her parents house and Mujji too finds it difficult to adjust in his house as a married person. He first manages in the warehouse of his company and then in Deeju's house on her advice. Despite this they don't spend time with eachother. Getting impressed by his performance, Mujji's boss provides him his house for a night to spend time with his newlywed wife. In his house, they get caught in a trouble when a local goon with his gang comes there. They narrate their whole story to them and then leave on allowing. Next day, the goon's people come to them and provide them a new apartment in a high-rise building. Initially hesitant they accept it and make it their new house. Days later when families of both of them learns about it, they ask to arrange a greeting in the mew house. However, it all wastes when they are informed that the goon is murdered and they have to leave the apartment. Deeju and Mujji then shift to a poor locality in an average condition house. The frustrated couple decade to take their own house for which they both starts the jobs. The hectic routine and the desire to get their own house make them far away from eachother. ...

Soundtrack
[edit]The original soundtrack of the series was performed by Shreya Basu and Umair Akbar Ali, who composed the msuic as well, and the lyrics were by Kashif Nisar.[9] The OST was released on 20 February 2025.[10]
Production
[edit]It marked the second on-screen appearance of Sajal Aly and Hamza Sohail after Zard Patton Ka Bunn,[11] when Aly was confirmed as a part of the series in November 2024.[12][13] It marked first Ramadan special of Aly's career.[3] The series is directed by Kashif Nisar and written by Zafar Mairaj, who previously collaborated on Kabuli Pulao and Mann Jogi.[14]
The first look of the series was unveiled by the network on 20 January 2025.[8] The second teaser released on 6 February 2025.[15][16] It is slated to broadcast in March, beginning from the 1st Ramadan 2025.[17][18]
