Dhurandhar is an upcoming Indian Hindi-language spy action thriller film directed and produced by Aditya Dhar along with Jyoti Deshpande and Lokesh Dhar under Jio Studios and B62 Studios. The film stars Ranveer Singh in the lead role alongside Sanjay Dutt, Akshaye Khanna, R. Madhavan and Arjun Rampal. The film's music was composed by Shashwat Sachdev.
The film was officially announced in July 2024. The film was shot in Bangkok, with sporadic schedules taking place in Amritsar, Mumbai, and Madh Island.
Dhurandhar is scheduled to release on 5 December 2025.

[edit]The film was officially announced in July 2024 by Ranveer Singh on social media platforms.[1] Later, in December 2024 the official title was revealed as Dhurandhar.[2] The film is reportedly inspired by real-life incidents, global conflicts and covert operations of RAW.[3]
Casting
[edit]In July 2024, Ranveer Singh was cast as the main lead alongside Sanjay Dutt and R. Madhavan.[4] Later, Akshaye Khanna, Arjun Rampal and Rakesh Bedi also joined in for supporting roles.[5] In October 2024, Sara Arjun was cast as female lead opposite to Singh.[6] Singh plays the role of a RAW agent while R. Madhavan is reportedly playing the role of Ajit Doval who is the NSA of India.[7][8]
Filming
[edit]The first schedule commenced in July 2024 in key locations across Bangkok.[9] The second schedule commenced in November 2024 near Amritsar and Golden Temple.[10] In February 2025, filming took place in Filmistan, Mumbai.[11] Later, filming took place across Madh Island and the schedule was wrapped by late April 2025.[12] In May 2025, some action sequences were filmed at Mankoli bridge.[13][14] In July 2025, an energetic dance number was filmed at the Golden Tobacco Factory in Vile Parle.[15] Several scenes set in Pakistan were re-created in Thailand.[16]
Music
[edit]The film's music is composed by Shashwat Sachdev while lyrics are written by Kumaar.[17]
Release
[edit]Dhurandhar is scheduled to release worldwide on 5 December 2025.[18]
