Davor Cicović (born October 20, 1982) is a Serbian columnist, commentator, and journalist known for his personal, emotional tone and sharp critique of political and social issues in the Western Balkans. He currently resides in Germany.
Biography
[edit]Cicović was born in Sarajevo and has lived in diaspora for most of his adult life. He is married and has one child. He is a regular member of the Independent Journalists’ Association of Serbia (NUNS).
Work and publications
[edit]Cicović’s columns and opinion pieces have appeared in several independent regional media outlets. His writing is characterized by emotional introspection, strong activist sentiment, and open criticism of political structures in Serbia and Republika Srpska.
He gained notable attention with his column “SNS mora pući, hoću da se vratim kući” ("SNS must fall, I want to come home") published on January 25, 2025, on *Direktno.rs*, which was cited on English Wikipedia in the article about the “2024–present Serbian anti-corruption protests.”
