Cycle Capital is a Dutch, Amsterdam-based cycling team and club that operates in multiple disciplines, including road cycling and para-cycling. The organization was established to challenge traditional cycling structures by creating a community-centered model that supports both elite and grassroots athletes. The team is based in Amsterdam, Netherlands, and competes internationally.
History
[edit]Cycle Capital was founded by Arjen Kuin in 2019 with the ambition to revolutionize professional cycling by combining elite sport with a purpose-driven community. Its mission is to create a new, self supported and sustaining professional cycling team without reliance on a single large sponsor, as well as a club with an inclusive culture of cycling that values performance alongside impact. By supporting both elite athletes and everyday riders, Cycle Capital offers a platform that bridges competition and collective action.
Structure and philosophy
[edit]Cycle Capital positions itself as more than a cycling team—it is a movement centered around sustainability, equity, and innovation. The club welcomes members at all levels and provides them with access to rides, training resources, and a vibrant community. The elite and paracycling teams act as role models and catalysts for change within the club.
Cycle Capital's operational model reinvests earnings from its platform into the development of riders and impact initiatives. The organization also offers custom apparel and a membership program to fund its sporting and social goals.
Teams
[edit]Elite Women's Team
[edit]The Cycle Capital Elite Women's Team competes in national-level road races across Europe. The team focuses on developing female talent and increasing visibility and support for women in cycling.
