Cristo Rey Research Triangle High School is a Roman Catholic high school located in Durham, North Carolina. It is part of the Cristo Rey Network Cristo Rey Network, a nationwide network of 40 schools, and operates under the Roman Catholic Diocese of Raleigh. The first Cristo Rey School was established in 1996 in Chicago, Illinois Cristo Rey Jesuit High School (Chicago). Cristo Rey Research Triangle follows the work-study model of education, in which students' tuition is subsidized through part-time work at local businesses, allowing them to gain professional experience while earning their education. [1]

The school was established in 2019 and opened its doors in 2021, serving students in grades 9 through 12. It is dedicated to providing a high-quality, college-preparatory education to students from low-income families. Students pay a modest $70 fee each month for tuition, with the remainder of their tuition costs covered through their work-study assignments. [2]

Located in the historic American Tobacco Building in downtown Durham, directly across from the Durham Bulls Athletic Park, Cristo Rey Research Triangle is part of the revitalization of this iconic landmark. The school utilizes this space to create an environment where students can thrive academically and professionally, all while benefiting from its proximity to downtown businesses and corporate partners.

Cristo Rey Research Triangle was established in 2019 and opened its doors in 2021. The first graduating class will walk the stage in June 2025. The school is committed to ensuring that all students have the tools and opportunities needed to succeed in college and beyond, with a strong focus on both academics and professional development.
