Fahail Mohiuddin (فاحل محی الدین) (born 2004) is an Indian author, poet, tutor, filmmaker, and social activist from Jammu and Kashmir. He is best known for his poetry collection Dusk of the Heart, and is the founder of the Root & Reach Foundation, which works on rural development and public administration at the grassroots level in Jammu and Kashmir.

Early life and education

Fahail Mohiuddin was born in 2004 in Banderpora village, Pulwama district, Jammu and Kashmir, India. He is the son of Gh Mohiuddin Bandh and Mehmooda Akhter, and has a sibling named Mohsin Mohiuddin Bandh. [1]

He earned a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) degree in Public Administration from Jamia Millia Islamia in New Delhi, and obtained a Diploma in Panchayat Level Administration and Development from Dayal Singh College, University of Delhi. [1]

Literary career

Mohiuddin's debut poetry collection, Dusk of the Heart, explores themes of love, loss, and emotional resilience.[2] It is available in print via Flipkart (ISBN 9798864446713),[3] as well as on Amazon India and Global.[4][5] The Notion Press and Goodreads author page also features the book.[6][7] [8][9]

Social and civic engagement

He is the founder of the Root & Reach Foundation, which organizes community-driven initiatives, such as a blood donation camp in 2025.[10]
