The tenth season of Chicago Med, an American medical drama television series with executive producer Dick Wolf, and producers Michael Brandt, Derek Haas, Peter Jankowski, Andrew Schneider and Diane Frolov, will premiere on September 25, 2024, by NBC.

The doctors and nurses at Gaffney are put on high alert after a commuter ship capsizes. The hospital introduces two new doctors, Dr. Caitlin Lenox a new attending physician and a new co-lead of the emergency ED along with Dr. Archer and Dr. John Frost who is a physician at another hospital who brings in a patient who needs an MRI. Meanwhile, Dr. Asher and Dr. Archer deal with a pregnant victim with a pieces of metal lodged in her stomach. Sharon announces that another hospital is closing and are forced to take in other patients. Also, Dr. Ripley's fate as a doctor hangs in the balance following an altercation with one of his past patients.

Also, Sharon is forced to make difficult on cutting doctors and nurses from Gaffney.

After being denied release, Ripley looks into alternatives for his friend Sully, to see his child before dying of terminal cancer. Also, Sharon is confronted with the person who had been stalking her.

Meanwhile, Lieutenant Kelly Severide and Battalion Chief Don Pascal figure out a plan to rescue Lieutenant Stella Kidd and Officer Adam Ruzek trapped in a subway car.


This episode continues a crossover event that begins on Chicago Fire season 13 episode 11 and concludes on Chicago P.D. season 12 episode 11.

Hannah grows concerned with Mitch as he continues to cope with the loss of his friend Sully. Also, Sharon is diagnosed with PTSI following her attack.

Also, Asher tends to a patient who has a ectopic pregnancy from being raped.

Asher tends to a patient who is suspected to have toxic shock syndrome. Also, Archer inadvertently gets high on acid after treating a patient who he himself is high in acid.

Asher learns she cannot be a surrogate because she is already pregnant.

Charles seeks advice from Sarah Reese on how to separate professional from personal after his daughter, Anna, attempts suicide. Goodwin is directed by the board to fire Washington, which ends their relationship. The designated recipient of transplant lungs donates them to Frost and Maggie's passed-over patient. Lenox tests positive for GSS, a prion disease. Ripley reunites with Sadie, the woman he rescued, while Asher seemingly reaches out to the father of her unborn child: Archer.

Chicago Med was renewed for a tenth season in March 2024, along with its sister shows Chicago Fire and Chicago PD.[25]

On June 28, 2024, it was announced that Dominic Rains is leaving Chicago Med after five seasons.[26]

On July 25, 2024, Jessy Schram revealed there would be a month-long time jump at the start of Season 10.[27]

Luke Mitchell was promoted to series regular.[28]

On August 5, 2024, it was announced that Sarah Ramos and Darren Barnet were added as series regulars for Season 10.[29]
