Charles Bardou (born 27 February 1982 in Chambray les Tours, France) is a multiple FITASC European and World Champion french Clay Target Shooter.
Bardou began shooting at the age of 5 alongside his brother David Bardou, who is ten years older and already had a lot of experience in clay pigeon shooting at the time. He initially shot with a Beretta AS20E and later also with a Miroku hunting shotgun with a 71 cm barrel. Thanks to his talent and ambition, he soon won his first titles. In 1997, he won the European Championship title in FITASC Compak Sporting in the junior category.[1]
In 2000, Bardou won the FITASC Sporting World Championship again in the junior category. He celebrated further FITASC Sporting successes as European Champion in 2001 and 2002, again in the junior category. He continued these successes in the open category as European Champion in FITASC Sporting in 2018 and 2020.[2]
In the FITASC Compak Sporting category, he won the European Championship again in 2002 in the junior category, and then won the European Championship again in 2003, just one year later, but this time in the open category ‘all shooters’. He repeated this result (European champion) in 2005, 2022 and 2024 at the Clube de Caçadores do Porto, Portugal.[3]
He became World champion in FITASC Compak Sporting open category in 2007, 2017 and 2019.[4][5]
Since 2013, he has been very successfully managing the largest shooting range in France, the Sologne Shooting Club. The shooting range's most successful annual competition, ‘Euro Shooting Cash’, took place for the tenth time in June 2025 and attracted more than 700 international shooters.[6]
