CTO Academy

CTO Academy is an online technology leadership development platform founded in 2018 with offices in London and Madrid[1]. The company's portfolio includes executive education programs for technology professionals transitioning into senior leadership roles[2] and the community platform.
History
[edit]Founded by Andrew Weaver and Jason Noble in March 2018, CTO Academy was created to offer an alternative approach to training for technologists transitioning into senior roles. The platform facilitates the direct transfer of experience from executive-level professionals in technology and business to students through its faculty, which is comprised of senior executives in technology and business management roles.[3]
In April 2019, the company secured seed funding of $178,000 through Jenson Funding Partners[4].
In January 2022, CTO Academy launched a program focused on developing essential management skills for technology professionals.
- 2019: Official launch with foundational leadership courses.
- 2022: Launch of the company's flagship technology leadership program.
- 2023: The technology leadership program recieves certification by the Continuing Professional Development Certification Service (CPDUK)[2]
- 2024: Expansion of the membership platform, offering ongoing professional development and community access.
